How it Works

Following is a high level overview of How the NetAuctions platform works and what you need to do to be able to participate in the Auctions.

STEP 1: Register as a User

You have to Register as a NetAuctions User first before you can participate in an auction. Simply complete the Registration Form and click the Register button to proceed.

Once you've submitted the Registration Form, you will receive an email from us to validate your email address. Click the link provided in the email to activate your account. You will now be able to Sign In.

STEP 2: Update your User Profile

When you Log in/Sign In for the first time, you will be required to update your complete user profile. Simply complete the form, enter your password and click Submit to complete the Registration Process.


How to Register for an Auction

Once you've signed in, go to the Upcoming Auctions page and click the VIEW DETAILS button of the Auction you are interested in.

On the Auction Details screen you will find a REGISTER FOR AUCTION button. Click the button and follow the easy steps to register for the auction.

NOTES: If the auction requires a deposit, simply make the deposit and send us your proof of payment. If it does not require a proof of payment (R0.00), simply send us an email requesting us to register your for the specific auction.

Once we receive your Registration Request, we will activate your account so you will be able to participate in the Auction.

How to Participate in an Auction

Once you've registered and your account has been activated for a specific auction you will be able to bid on lots that are open for bidding. Here's how:

  1. Find the Auction you are Interested in (see Upcoming Auctions).

  2. Click the VIEW DETAILS button to go to the Auction Details.

  3. Click the VIEW XX LOTS button to open the list of lots associated with this auction (the Auction catalogue).

  4. Click the VIEW DETAILS button of the lot you are interested in.

  5. If the lot is Open for Bidding, you will find the bidding section at the bottom of the Lot Details page.

  6. You can now submit your bids.
